Clare Tone

Horse crazy with my first lesson at age 6, a shared pony with my sister by 8, ‘manure management’ in our backyard by 9. Growing up outside Chicago, horses were my saving grace and the focus delivering me safely through High School. Arena riding gave way to explorations of suburban parks and trails. Learning to jump, then captaining the Equestrian Team (University of Vermont, a cooperative DIY barn shared with the dairy cows). Summers on pack trips in Bridger-Teton Wilderness (Wyoming). All of it leading to this. This singular, spectacular place just east of the Continental Divide, where hearts and horses roam broadly over this rugged, cherished landscape.
